Such An Inconvenience

An Inconvenient Tooth is supposed to be a silent movie of sorts. The idea for the strips came from the little man in the first panel. He has a toothache and has tied a bow around his head in order to help(?). If you are unfamiliar with this symbol, that's okay, because its been out of usage for seventy years.

Then after I decided to mold a comic around such a flimsy pretext for action, I had to think about what could possibly be funny about a toothache. Eventually, I settled on "Wouldn't it be funny if a dentist knocked some guy's teeth out?" Also, ending a strip on an act of violence passes for humor.

I put a little extra effort into those backgrounds for you. I hope a you like.
