Inside the Joke

More than a few people commented on the fact that bars, cells and imprisonment figured into the punchlines of two recent strips and before anyone out there calls Two Rivers, allow me to assure you that I am fine. The confinement-theme was for the most part coincidental.

The strip Inside Joke, working title Cell Fun, was inspired by the prop of Chinese Fingercuffs. To me, the "joke" here is that our main character is struggling to get out of a child's toy and then the last panel reveals to us that he has bigger things to be getting out of.

On an aestetic note, I am slightly displeased with the art in the last panel, as I think there are some flaws on the bars that are distracting and will fix them at some later date.

Thanks for Reading!
